MUMBAI: The police have arrested a youth who killed his lover’s father after inviting him for a party. The accused has been identified as Pappukumar Shah, a resident of Bihar. Kamaljit Sanda (56), a native of Maharashtra, was brutally killed in the tragic incident.
The police say: Pappukumar Shah came to Maharashtra seeking jobs. He was a resident of Ulhasnagar, where Kamaljit and his family lived. He did small jobs to earn money. Meanwhile, he got into a relationship with Kamaljit’s daughter. Lately, he had approached Kamaljit and expressed his desire to marry her. However, he turned down his proposal. The next day, the accused came to Kamaljit’s house and apologised for his proposal. He even sought apology for everything happened so far.
After the apology, Shah became friendly with Kamaljit and invited him to the party to which the latter agreed. Amid the party, the drunk accused slit Kamaljit’s throat and killed him. After the murder, the accused called his girlfriend over the phone and stated that her father will never come back home.
The girl herself informed the matter to the police. The body was also recovered by the police. The accused is being questioned and investigation is on to find out if anyone else has any links with the murder.
