MOSCOW: The body of a Russian model who called Russian President Vladimir Putin a ‘psychopath’ was found stashed in a suitcase inside a car. The dead has been identified as Gretta Vedler, a 23-year-old model, who was missing for a year.
The police have said that the murder was committed by Vedler’s ex-boyfriend Dmitry Korovin. She was strangled to death after a row over money. The murder was committed in the Russian capital city of Moscow. After killing Gretta, her body was kept in a room for three days. Later, he stashed her body into a suitcase and took it to the Lipestk region and left it in the boot of a car. The body, which was kept in the car for a year, was recovered on Wednesday. A close friend of Gretta, on suspicion, had filed a missing complaint which helped the officials in locating her body.
Gretta had raised criticisms against Putin in January last year. She had said that Putin showed "clear psychopathy or sociopathy". Soon after the incident, she went missing which spread suspicions and allegations against the Russian government. However, the latest reports suggest that Putin and the Russian have no links with the murder.
