THODUPUZHA: A few days before a man was shot dead by his brother in connection with a dispute over the sale of a property at Kanjirappally. Now a similar incident has been reported from Idukki. A man shot his brother over a dispute. Santo shot his elder brother Siby George of Mankulam Koonamakkal. Siby who received serious injuries on his neck has been admitted at a private hospital in Adimali. The incident happened last night. Santo has been taken into custody.

Police said a dispute over a friend ended in the shooting. When Siby came to Santo’s house, his close friend was there. Siby had earlier asked his brother to end his friendship with him. He also told him not to allow him to enter the house. A fight broke out over this. At the end of the fight, Siby went home. However, after some time when he came again to take some work tools, Santo shot at him thrice.

Siby was taken to the hospital with his relatives and the locals. The pellets were removed after a five-hour long surgery. Though the injuries are serious, he is out of danger.
