NEW DELHI: G23 leaders to organise a meeting against the Congress leadership again following the defeat in five states, including Punjab. Leaders including Kapil Sibal, Bhupinder Hooda and Janardhan Dwivedi will attend the meeting at the residence of senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. G23 leaders also met on Wednesday. Ghulam Nabi Azad then telephoned Sonia Gandhi today to inform her of the decisions of the meeting. . Besides, Bhupinder Hooda had earlier had discussions with Rahul Gandhi. Indications are that a review meeting is underway.
The meeting on Thursday was attended by Kapil Sibal, Anand Sharma, Manish Tiwari, Bhupinder Hooda, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Prithviraj Chavan, PJ Kurien, Mani Shankar Iyer and Shashi Tharoor. Group 23 says it will fight until there is democracy in the party. They also criticised party's working style. No collective discussions are happening. Gandhi family unilaterally makes decisions and imposes them. They also criticised that a group was working within the party which could even silence Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi is under the influence of this group.
