KOCHI: Mounds of earth caved in during construction in Kalamassery. The accident happened where construction work of Nest Group’s electronic city near Kalamassery Medical College was going on.

A body of one person has been recovered. Two were rescued and shifted to the hospital. Three more workers are suspected to be trapped inside. Earth caved in while they were digging a pit. All efforts are being taken to take those trapped outside after removing the mud using a JCB. The authorities said the fear of another landslide are making rescue operations difficult. Rescue operations by the police and fire force are progressing.
