PANAJI: Police have busted a prostitution racket in Goa. Investigators have also rescued three people, including a television actress, from the hands of this gang. The gang was nabbed in Sangolda village near Panaji. Hafiz Syed Bilal, 26, a native of Hyderabad, was arrested by the Goa Crime Branch in connection with the case.
Two of the women rescued by the probe team, including a television actress, are from Virar near Mumbai. Another is a native of Hyderabad, the crime branch said. All three survivors are between the ages of 30-37. The accused were caught in a trap set up by the investigation team on Thursday on the basis of confidential information. According to the crime branch, the accused was arrested after police agreed on a deal worth Rs 50,000 on the pretext of being a customer.
