THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that what needs to be done will be done despite objections. He also said that the Left government is not a government that lies to the people. The CM was inaugurating the Village Janakeeya Samithi in Ernakulam, which will be formed under the Revenue Department.
"The state government only give promises that can be implemented. These plans are not for us but for our children. Those who object now should say when it should be done. What needs to be done now should be done now and things that need to be done tomorrow should be done then", the CM said.
The CM added that the higher education sector and the health sector are going to change in a big way. "Infrastructure needs to be developed for this. The government is moving forward with the future development of our children in mind. The country generally supports it without any discrimination. But some think these should not happen now. If such thinking had existed during the previous government, the present developments would not have been done. National Highway development was once opposed. If you travel to Kasaragod, you will see an exciting sight today. The hilly-coastal road is nearing completion. When it was said that the Rs 50,000 crore project would be implemented through KIIFB, some said it will remain a dream. It has happened now", he said.
"Officers are there to serve the people. There are those who ask for money to do things. Such people are not fit for the civil service. There are agents and officials who encourage them to do things. There will be no compromise regarding corruption", the CM said.
