BHOPAL: In Bhopal Central Jail, as many as 50 prisoners, including murder convicts, are taking lessons to perform various Vedic rituals so that they can become temple priests and earn an honourable living after getting released from jail.

The prisoners are being trained by an organisation name Gayatri Shaktipith Bhopal. The prisoners who were interested in Vedic rituals and want to give a good message to society after completing their sentence were selected for the training.

According to Sadanand Amrekar, one of the priests of Gayatri Shaktipith, the aim of the Gayatri Shaktipith is to help prisoners return to the community with virtues through this project. The training programme will end on the 28th of this month.
