THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Professor K V Thomas has rejected KPCC President K Sudhakaran on attending seminar as part of CPM Party Congress. He said that the final decision on participation would be taken by the Congress High Command. The matter has been brought to the notice of Sonia Gandhi and AICC General Secretary in charge of Kerala Tariq Anwar. The topic of the party congress seminar is a topic of national importance. That is why the opinion of the national leadership was sought. High Command would decide whether I should attend the seminar or not. Congress cannot face the BJP alone. To fight BJP we need the help of CPM, CPI and DM . At the national level, CPM and the Congress are working together. K V said that he was invited to the party congress and not to the state convention.

Meanwhile, Shasi Tharoor MP said that he would talk to Congress President Sonia Gandhi about participation in CPM party congress. Problems within the party will be resolved within the party itself. Shashi Tharoor clarified that there is no controversy in the party now. He said that he respect the words of KPCC president K Sudhakaran.

Earlier, K Sudhakaran had said that members of Congress should not attend the CPM's seminar. He said that the Left govt is letting people suffer and the ban was imposed after understanding the sentiments of the people. If Sonia Gandhi allows, let Tharoor attend the seminar, said Sudhakaran.
