THODUPUZHA: Shaji, eldest son of Hameed who killed his younger son and family by setting them ablaze, has said that he and his family are living in fear that their father might kill them if released from jail. "Father had told many that he would kill us. We will not provide legal help to him and will do whatever it takes to keep him in jail", Shaji said.

"Thirty years ago my father left us. He was staying with another woman. When he returned three years before, we gave him accommodation. Meanwhile, he filed various cases against us. Despite all this harassment, we only recently filed a complaint against my father. Mohammad Faisal was forced to file a complaint after our father hurt his daughter. Our father has said that we are the only enemies he has in this world", Shaji said.

"Our father has been in relationships with several other women since time immemorial. A 62 cent of land, which has a very good value, is still in his name. He had repeatedly threatened Faisal and his family that he will not allow them to live in the newly built house", Shaji added.

Meanwhile, the police will file an application in court today to take the accused Hameed into custody. The police want to complete the investigation and file the chargesheet as soon as possible. Police said they would gather as much scientific evidence as possible.
