KOCHI: The probe team has served a notice to actor Dileep asking him to appear for questioning in the actress assault case. As per the notice, Dileep has been asked to appear on March 24. However, the probe team later asked him to appear on Monday after the actor conveyed his inconvenience on March 24. The notice was sent to Dileep by the special team investigating the case.

The crime branch had collected crucial information against Dileep in connection with the further investigation. The decision to question the actor came after this. However, Dileep requested the probe team to arrange another day for questioning as he will not be in the state on March 24. Following this, the probe team asked him to appear on Monday.

The High Court had allowed time till April 15 for further investigation. The further investigation in the actress assault case began on the basis of the revelations made by director Balachandra Kumar. The crime branch had submitted a progress report of the investigation in the case to the trial court.
