NEW DELHI: The centre said that there will be no more cases if masks are not worn. The centre directed the states to withdraw the proceedings under the Disaster Management Act. The states will issue new orders accordingly.
The centre also directed states not to register any more cases for crowd and Covid violations. The central government said it will continue with the directives issued by the health ministry.
The number of patients per day in the country has dropped significantly in the last seven weeks. The test positivity rate is below one percent. In this context, the centre directed states to waive the laws brought under the Disaster Prevention Act. Going out without a mask is presently a punishable offense.
