KOCHI: Within two months of launching a reinvestigation into the attack on the actress, the crime branch collected several documents, including electronic evidence, to nab actor Dileep. The evidence obtained from the 26 electronic devices seized by the SIT from Dileep and his relatives is crucial. These have been handed over to the team investigating the actress attack case.
Dileep will be questioned at the Aluva Police Club on Monday by Crime Branch DySP Baiju Paulose. The investigation is expected to be completed by the 16th of next month and a report will be submitted to the court.
Dasan's statement
The investigation team finds the statement of Dasan, who was a servant at Dileep's house, as important. According to Dasan, he had heard Dileep's brother Anoop saying that he would kill 'Pulsar Suni' if he comes out of jail. Dileep's lawyers had warned Dasan not to divulge the details.
Suni's statement
Pulsar Suni says that director Balachandra Kumar's statement against actor Dileep is true. He says that he knows Balachandra Kumar and has traveled in the same vehicle. He told Crime Branch that he met Balachandra Kumar with Dileep's brother Anoop and that he introduced himself as a person who came to tell a film story. Pulsar Suni also revealed that Dileep gave him money that day.
Suni's mother's statement
Sobhana had revealed that Suni knew 'VIP' Sarath and that the reason for the problems was the disclosure of Dileep's name in the case. Sobhana also confirmed Balachandra Kumar's revelation. Her confidential statement was recorded.
The Crime Branch assumes that Dileep and his relatives changed their phones and removed the information at a private lab to destroy the evidence. Dileep will have to answer this before the probe team again. The crime branch considers Dileep's recent financial dealings as an attempt to influence witnesses.
