NEW DELHI: Congress MP Ramya Haridas has alleged that she was mishandled by policemen amid the protest march held against SilverLine in Delhi. Even after being a woman MP, I was stopped by male police officers. Don’t I have the consideration of being a woman, she asked.

As a member of parliament, why I was barred from entering the parliament, she asked. “We arrived to protest against K-Rail, but were stopped on the way. Who called for this?”, Ramya asked while talking to the media.

The members from Kerala who marched towards the Gandhi statue in the parliament were beaten up by the police. During the clash, the police pushed T N Prathapan and K Muraleedharan and pulled the collar of Benny Behanan. Hibi Eden had earlier stated that a complaint will be filed with the speaker over the incident.
