NEW DELHI: It has been hinted that the Prime Minister had not given any assurance over the demands of Kerala during the meeting held between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Narendra Modi. It is heard that Modi had mentioned to examine the demands.

The chief minister called on Modi seeking permission and centre’s fund for SilverLine. The chief minister held talks with the Prime Minister when massive protests were staged by opposition parties against the government's ambitious SilverLine project. The meeting was held at 11 am at the Prime Minister’s office of the Parliament House.

Chief secretary V P Joy and John Brittas MP accompanied the chief minister. After the meeting, the Prime Minister held talks with the railway minister. It is heard that the railway minister had brought to the notice of the Prime Minister the shortcomings of the project. The chief minister will meet the media in the evening.
