NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the Silver Line project will not be implemented by harming anyone. "No one will become homeless. Compensation and livelihood will be ensured. Better compensation will be secured for those who lose land. The LDF gained continuance of rule through public welfare activities," the CM said.
The Chief Minister accused the Opposition of attempting to undermine the welfare activities of the government. "The Opposition is now trying to undermine the welfare activities in the state. They had tried to sabotage the GAIL project. Those who misunderstood the project because of the emotional fake propaganda later realized the reality," he said.
The Chief Minister also blamed the Opposition for always opposing development activities. "The Opposition is of the view that no development will be allowed. The media creates hypersensitivity. The media should not stand with those who undermine development. The protests held by uprooting survey stones are part of a political conspiracy. People of various natures are taking part in the protest. SilverLine project is for future generations. The buffer zone will be clarified later," he added.
