Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu has reacted to the controversial statement made by actor Vinayakan in connection with the MeToo allegation. The actress responded through her social media page. Parvathy shared a picture of Vinayakan as an Instagram story and referred to his press meet as shame.
During the press meet, Vinayakan had claimed that he has had sex with ten women and that he will ask them again to have sex with him.
‘I am ready for a dispute. What is MeToo? I don’t know and that is why I asked you (towards the media). Is it catching a girl? What is this MeToo? Let me say, I want to have sex with a girl, what should I tell her. Did you have sex with your wife first? Everyone is not like that. How do you have sex with a girl? Tell me, how do you call that girl to your side? In my life I have had physical relationships with at least ten women. I asked the ten girls to have sex with me. I'll ask again if this the MeToo you say. If I feel like having sex with that girl again, I will ask her. She will politely say ‘no’. No woman has come to me and asked, do you know what a woman's interpretation is? said Vinayakan.
Several people have lashed out at the actor for his statements. Actor Harish Peradi, Kunjila Mascillamani, Sharadakutty and Shanimol Usman were among those who criticised the actor.
A former model and Dalit activist had earlier raised a MeToo allegation against Vinayakan. She accused Vinayakan of sexually harassing her over the phone.
