PALAKKAD: BJP leader E Sreedharan said the SilverLine project will not happen in Kerala and the government will soon abandon the project altogether. He confirmed at a press conference that the project will not get the approval of the center. He said that he had demanded the central government not to allow land acquisition without the project gets approval.

'The railway board knows that the project is not right. There is no need to lay the stones for a social impact study. The stones are laid to acquire land. The government has misled the high court. The people are being deceived about the cost of the project and the land to be acquired. The government has a hidden agenda, may have reached an agreement. The chief minister was informed that the project will not finish in Rs 64,000 crore. Raising the wall on both sides is the main problem. The buffer zone will also have to be compensated. This is not the British era. The train cannot run through the mud in semi speed. If the train runs through the speed mentioned now, then a big accident will be witnessed. The state needs a central line. The development of the national highway and the K Rail project are two different things, Sreedharan said.
