NOIDA: A youth, accused of kidnapping a child, was tied to a tree and thrashed to death in Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place in Kanarsi village of Greater Noida on Thursday. The dead has been identified as Nanku, a resident of Dondra village in Nepal.
According to the police, Nanku had entered the house of Naresh and attempted to kidnap a five-month-old child. He tried to flee as the house members woke up on hearing the baby cry. He was later chased by locals, tied to a tree and brutally beaten with a stick.
The police took Nanku to a primary health centre and was referred to the district hospital. He died on the way to the hospital, said the police.
Nanku’s younger brother had filed a murder case against Naresh, his relatives and the villagers. Following which, the police arrested Naresh and produced him in the court. All of the accused in the murder will be arrested soon, said the police.
