IDUKKI: Soumya, the shop owner came forward with crucial revelation in the incident where a bus employee was shot dead in Moolamattom. Soumya said the accused, Philip Martin and his friend came to the shop and created an uproar and when others in the shop intervened, he got irritated.

‘Philip came to the shop at 10.30 pm asking for beef. He created a commotion when told him that it’s over. The youths who were there to get the parcels questioned this. He was outraged by this. He then went home, came back with a gun and created an atmosphere of terror. He hurled abuses and fired shots. The shooting took place 200 meters away from the shop. I knew only later that one was killed,’ she said while talking to a private channel.

Sanal Babu (34) of Keerithod was killed and his friend injured after shot by Philip. Pradeep of Moolamattom who sustained serious injuries has been admitted in the ICU. There are many injuries on Pradeep’s body. Hospital authorities said that it is difficult to remove the bullets from his liver.
