THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 48-hour public strike has paralysed normal life in the state. The people are not even getting food. The protesters blocked workers at KINFRA Park in Kanchikode. The workers are forcibly sent back.
The employees are also being sent back at KINFRA in Palakkad. Vehicles are widely blocked in the area of Cochin refinery. The bus carrying workers to Kitex was stopped. Autos are operating in Kannur.
Employees of Kochi BPCL were also blocked. The strike in BPCL was banned by the high court. The strike started at midnight yesterday. The strike will be till 12 tomorrow. Necessary services such as hospitals, ambulances, pharmacies, milk, newspapers, fire and rescue have been excluded from the strike.
