KOLKATA: Two protesters sustained injuries after jumping on a railway track with red flags to stop a train as part of the nationwide strike. The incident took place in West Bengal.
The protesters jumped on the railway track with red flags as soon as they saw a train coming. They then waved the flag and demanded to stop the train. The train was moving at a slow pace as the engine driver had received information about the protest. Meanwhile, the train hit the protesters.
The injured protesters were rushed to the hospital. The accident happened this morning. Except for isolated incidents, life in the state is normal. Rail transport in the country is also running smoothly. At the same time, strikes in many parts of Kerala escalated into clashes.
