THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan said that no passengers were stopped anywhere in connection with the nationwide strike led by the trade unions. Vijayaraghavan also rubbished reports on violence that broke out in the state as part of the strike.
"Passengers were not stopped anywhere. Maybe the media may have stopped them. The strike has been very peaceful. Did anyone get injured and got admitted to the hospital? You have not been able to report any such incidents. The labourers are protesting on behalf of the people by sacrificing their wages. Therefore, we should not criticize this strike," Vijayaraghavan said.
Earlier, Minister V Sivankutty had said that the violence related to the strike should not be exaggerated.
