MUMBAI: Gujarat Titans star Shubhman Gill's catch in the IPL match against Lucknow Super Giants has become a trend on social media. The most exciting moment of the match was the catch taken by Shubhman Gill to dismiss Evin Lewis in Varun Aaron's ball in the fourth over.

The ball bounced off the top edge of Evin Lewis' bat in an attempt to pull off Varun Aaron's unexpected bouncer. Shubhman Gill, who was fielding in the square leg, ran back about 25 yards and got the ball into his hands with a superb dive. Gill did not take his eyes off the ball for a moment as he ran backwards.

Commentators described Gill's fielding performance as the best catch of the IPL this season. A fan tweeted that a plane or a kite or an eagle or something else had landed on the ground for Gujarat.
