MALAPPURAM: A seven-year-old missing from Walancherry has been found. Muhammed Harhan, son of Nawaz and Afeela, residents of M R Apartment of Walancherry Munnakkal, was traced in Kodungalloor Wednesday morning.

The police have arrested 19-year-old Shinaz, their neighbour who abducted the boy. He abducted the child last night at 9 pm. He committed the act following his enmity towards the child’s parents.

The complaint lodged to the police said the child who was playing in the flat went missing soon. The police investigation focused on Shinaz based on the statements of the occupants of the apartment.

Shinaz was also a resident of the same apartment. He was expelled from here the previous day for misconduct. The child was found with the help of a cyber-cell based on the residents' statement that he had come here when the child went missing.
