KOZHIKODE: The video of a protestor, who fled without answering a passenger’s question, was one of the major highlights of Tuesday’s strike. Social media was filled with the trolls of the protester last day.

The video showed a youth walking away after saying ‘just a minute’, on being asked about the reason for the strike by a bike traveler. The youth in the viral video has been identified as Chundel DYFI area secretary Prajeesh. He has suffered severe cyber-attacks as well.

Now, Prajeesh himself has come forward explaining the truth behind the incident, through a Facebook post.

While I was about to explain the reason for the strike, a police vehicle came up towards me honking, said Prajeesh. They called me and I turned back. In the video, I could be seen looking back to confirm whether they were calling me or not. I tried to come back and finish the conversation with those young people. But, they had already left, Prajeesh said. Such propaganda against the strike should be dismissed, he added. Numerous people have come out in criticism and support following his post.
