KOCHI: The Kerala High Court asked Balachandra Kumar why a complaint was not lodged earlier even after having strong evidences against actor Dileep. The court raised important questions during the prosecution's argument opposing Dileep's plea to quash the FIR against him in the case of conspiracy to kill the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. Kumar’s this act raises doubt on whether he had any malicious intent.
However, the prosecution informed the court that such things are not relevant at this stage. The court has to see whether only a crime is being revealed. The prosecution said Kumar had a close relationship with Dileep for a long time and pointed that important evidences from Dileep’s phone had been destroyed. When asked to produce seven phones, only six phones were produced. 12 chats were deleted from the iPhone. The evidence was deleted on January 30 in Mumbai. The prosecution told the court that the phones were sent to Mumbai by his lawyers.
The court had also raised questions against Balachandra Kumar yesterday. The court asked the prosecution yesterday whether saying things simply would be murder conspiracy. Shouldn’t a crime be committed based on conspiracy, the court asked. The prosecution replied that what Dileep said was not just words. There are evidences for the conspiracy. The prosecution said that director Balachandra Kumar had handed over the audios and evidence. In that case, the court asked why Balachandra Kumar is not the first informer in the case.
