KOCHI: FEOUK, theatre owners organization, has strongly criticized the release of films on OTT. FEOUK President Vijayakumar has alleged that if the stars release their films on OTT, their stardom will soon disappear. He cited Surya and Tovino Thomas as examples.

'An actor has no existence in the industry if audience does not enjoy their film in theatres. The biggest example of this is what happened to actor Surya. People did not come to the theatre when his best film was released. 'Minnal Murali' is the most hardworking film of Tovino Thomas. Do you think the actor gained anything from the film? Due to Minnal Murali's release in OTT, his next movie 'Naradan' went unnoticed in the theatres. Any actor who regularly release films in OTT should understand that they will be removed from audiences' hearts too',said Vijayakumar.
