MUMBAI: The controversial film 'The Kashmir Files' directed by Vivek Agnihotri has received release permission in UAE. The film, which tells the story of Kashmiri Pandits, was released after a four-week scrutiny. The film is gaining huge collection at the box office.

Director Vivek said that despite some Indians calling the film Islamophobic, the film was released in the Islamic country of the UAE without cutting a single scene after four weeks of scrutiny.

It is noteworthy that the film was released in the UAE without any censorship. In India, only people over the age of 18 are allowed to see the movie in theatres. But in the UAE, people from the age of 15 can see the film in theatres. The film is set to release in the UAE on April 7. The film will be released in Singapore soon.

The film was allowed permission in Singapore after three-weeks of scrutiny. The head of the censor board said there was nothing offensive in the film. Singapore is a country with a large Muslim population. The same thing happened in the UAE. This movie is about humanity. Everyone who has seen the film says that it is against terrorism. But in India, the film is being opposed without even seeing it. Some say the film is Islamophobic. Vivek Agnihotri said they were either members of militant groups or were evil-minded.

The film has grossed over Rs 250 crore worldwide at the box office yesterday. The film was released on March 11, based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the 1990 Kashmir riots. The film tells the story of Kashmiri Pandits who were brutally tortured and forced to flee their homeland at that time. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar in the lead roles.
