THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has clarified that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a favourable stance toward the SilverLine project. "The project has to be approved by the Centre. That is why I met the Prime Minister,” he said. The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating 51 roads.
"The state government will not shy away from doing what is required for the state. If you do not do it on time, you will have to pay a heavy price," the CM said.
He also said that the majority of people in the state are in support of the K-Rail project. "The vast majority are in favor of K Rail. Although they are not making a fuss, they want development. Take, for instance, the case of National Highway development. Those who are losing land are now supporting road development," he said.
