SRINAGAR: A terrorist was killed in an encounter with the security forces in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. A search operation has been launched following inputs about the presence of more terrorists in the area.

The encounter took place during the search operations as the militants fired upon the security forces. More soldiers have been deployed in the area.

The troops have intensified actions against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. As of now, 41 terrorists have been killed this year. Numerous people were caught as well.
