NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has boosted the confidence of school children across the country ahead of the upcoming year-end exams. He addressed the students during his interaction at the fifth edition of the 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' event held in Delhi.
In the annual event being held at Talkatora Stadium in the national capital, the prime minister called on the students to treat the examinations like a festival. He asked the students about their concerns regarding exams and replied in simple and meaningful manner. Exams are a part of our life. It should be faced with full confidence, he said.
Modi had asked playfully if the children went online to check reels while studying. “Students should introspect themselves while studying online, whether they actually study or spend time watching reels on social media. Irrespective of the medium, if our mind is delved into the subject, then it won't make a difference is grasping things," he said. "Students should not feel they are under pressure from teachers and parents to score good marks. Parents should not inject their dreams into their children. They should be allowed to decide their future freely," he added.
The National Education Policy (NEP) will give students various options to choose their path. There are various fields where students want to contribute and make a career out of it and one them is sports. Earlier, sports was not even a subject at every school, but NEP will help students enroll themselves in courses related to sports and will provide guidance to them to move towards the right path, he said.
