KOCHI: Actor Dileep's car was taken into custody by the investigation team. The red Swift car was taken into custody from Dileep's house in Aluva as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to the probe team, Pulsar Suni and Balachandra Kumar travelled in this car in 2016 and is a crucial piece of evidence in the conspiracy. Pulsar Suni returned to Dileep's house in this car. Dileep had also handed over the money to Pulsar Suni at his home. According to Crime Branch, Dileep's brother Anoop was with Pulsar Suni when he returned in the car.

According to Balachandra Kumar, Pulsar Suni returned from Dileep's house on December 26, 2016 in this car. Following this, Crime branch was investigating about the car. The vehicle was registered at the Aluva RTO office and is now in custody. But the car is not in good condition.Therefore, it was handed over to its owner Dileep on the condition that it has to be produced in court at the time of request.

Meanwhile, Crime Branch had received the the original letter sent to Dileep from jail by Pulsar Suni. The letter was received from the house of fellow prisoner Kundamkulam native Sajith. Police collected a sample of Pulsar Suni's handwriting to verify the authenticity of the letter. The investigation team arrived at the jail yesterday and collected the sample. This sample will be sent for forensic examination soon. The content of the letter alleges that Dileep was behind the conspiracy in actress assault. Suni's mother had released a copy of the letter following Balachandra Kumar's allegations. Suni wrote the letter on May 7, 2018 from jail. However, it is claimed that the letter could not be given to Dileep. It is alleged that Dileep's lawyer took the letter from Sajith and returned it days later.
