MUVATTUPUZHA: Kerala Bank officials has seized a house in Payipra by evicting four children who were staying there. Mathew Kuzhal Nadan MLA, protested against this action and in response he broke the lock of the house and took the children back into the house.

Kerala Bank officials confiscated the house of Ajesh, a native of Payipra. Ajesh is undergoing treatment for heart disease at a hospital in Ernakulam and his wife is the bystander at the hospital. There were only four children in the house when the foreclosure proceedings took place. The foreclosure proceedings were led by the bank's general manager. The family had a debt of Rs 1.5 lakh. The bank informed the MLA that the confiscation was based on a court order. The MLA demanded time payment.

At around 8.30 pm, local leaders led by the MLA came to protest. Bank officials informed the MLA that they would open the confiscated house. However, the MLA himself broke the lock of the house and allowed the children to enter home as no action was taken by the bank to open the house late at night.
