KOCHI: The government has accelerated the approval of private industrial parks targeting one lakh small enterprises in the state. 12,500 institutions have already approached the government. The project is called Private Industrial Estate Scheme 2022.

Institutions with more than ten acres of land which are not included in ESA and CRZ can seek permission for the Industrial Park. An amount of 3 crore will be provided for the provision of infrastructure. Private companies, co-operative societies, partnerships and MSME consortiums will be given license for parks.

Once the private park is approved, government will try to ensure roads, electricity and water supply. The government will provide 3 crore at the rate of 30 lakh per acre for infrastructure.
