THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his party are trying to grab the commission despite knowing that the Centre will not give permission for the implementation of K Rail.
‘Even after knowing that it will not be executed, it was an attempt to make it seem as if something was being done since the commission was accepted. The agency said the social impact study could not be conducted in the wake of public protests. However, the government is adamant that the project will be implemented in any way,’ said Muraleedharan.
It has to be assessed that the government is not bringing the project in the interests of the people. If it is not possible to conduct the social impact study, the project should have to be stopped. The centre will never give permission for the project, he said.
