KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has granted bail to Vijeesh, the fourth accused in the actress attack case. Vijeesh had filed a plea seeking bail as the trial is being delayed. The plea pointed that imprisonment without bail is a violation of human rights. Vijeesh was with Pulsar Suni, the first accused in the case, in the vehicle from Athani. With Vijeesh granted bail, only Pulsar Suni is in jail now. Suni had filed a bail plea several times but all that was rejected.

Meantime, the high court rejected the plea of Sagar Vincent, a native of Alappuzha, who was a witness in the case. The court has asked the police not to harass him during interrogation. Sagar was an employee of Lakshya, owned by Kavya Madhavan. Sagar had filed the plea alleging that crime branch DySP Baiju Paulose was threatening to fabricate evidence and that further action should be taken on the notice issued by the probe team to appear for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. The prosecution had earlier informed the court that Sagar's allegations were baseless.
