THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 24-hour police control room has been set up at Cliff House, the official residence of the Chief Minister, as part of increasing security. This is after the incident where Yuva Morcha activists erected a K-Rail survey stone on the Cliff House premises, which was assessed as a serious security breach. Apart from deploying the State Industrial Security Force commando team for security, control room surveillance, and CCTV camera systems have also been implemented.

The system is set up in the old guard room at the main gate. Control Room Association is oversight by the Commissioner. 65 policemen will be on duty on shift basis. In addition to the jeep in the Cliff House control room, two jeeps from the City Control Room will be patrolling the area at all times. A jeep will also be on regular patrol at the museum station. There will be two bike patrol teams and two police patrols each.
