NEW DELHI: The road ahead for the Congress is more challenging than ever before, said party President Sonia Gandhi. The spirit of resilience of the party workers is under severe test, she said in a parliamentary party meeting while describing about the party’s current situation.

‘I am very well aware of how disappointed you are at the recent election results. They have been both shocking and painful. Our revival is essential for our democracy and indeed for our society’, Sonia said.

‘I have received many suggestions on how to strengthen our organization. Unity at all levels is of paramount importance. Organizing a “Chintan Shivir” or introspection meet is also very necessary. That is where the views of a larger number of colleagues and party representatives will be heard, she added.
