NEW DELHI: The CBI has taken statements from Delhi Kerala House employees in the solar sexual abuse case. The CBI had taken a statement from the employees of Kerala House on the basis of a complaint lodged against former minister A P Anil Kumar. The CBI also enquired about the booking of a room by Anil Kumar's personal staff member P P Nazarullah in 2012. The CBI is investigating while staying in a room in Kerala House.
An FIR has been registered against five persons in the case. The main allegation is that former minister A P Anil Kumar received Rs 7 lakh from the complainant through P P Nazarullah. According to the complainant, she was later sexually assaulted in the Kerala House. After summoning the employees of Kerala House in 2012, the CBI showed them a photo of P P Nazarullah and asked them if they knew him. But it is reported that most of them were unable to identify him.
Meanwhile, the CBI conducted an inspection at the MLA hostel in connection with the solar sexual abuse case. The inspection is being carried out in room 34 in the Nila block which was used when Hibi Eden was the MLA.
It is alleged that the complainant was molested by Hibi Eden at the MLA hostel. According to the complaint, the incident took place in 2013-14. Investigators arrived at the place around 11 pm with the complainant. This room is now occupied by another MLA. Hibi Eden had earlier said that leaving the solar case to the CBI was politically motivated. The complainant had written to the Chief Minister seeking a CBI probe against six leaders, including Oommen Chandy, KC Venugopal, Adoor Prakash, AP Abdullakutty, AP Anilkumar and Hibi Eden. The case was referred to the CBI on the basis of this complaint
