KOCHI: It is learned that a leading heroine, who lives in Dubai, will be questioned soon in connection with the conspiracy case against actor Dileep. One of the 12 chats deleted from the phone of Dileep was with the actress. The investigation team will try to find out the details of the chat between the actress and Dileep. The interrogation will be done online. It was found that Dileep had deleted 12 chats from his phones. The crime branch team will question all these 12 persons to find details of their chat with Dileep. Earlier, two Thiruvananthapuram-based film and serial actors were questioned.
The Crime Branch will approach mobile service providers to collect information on those people living in foreign countries. Among the deleted include chats to Sharjah Cricket Association CEO Galif, who has business in Dubai. Chats to Dubai partner of ‘De Puttu’ were also deleted. Dileep also deleted chats with Nazir, a native of Thrissur and a social worker in Dubai, Jaffer from Malappuram, who runs a supermarket in Dubai and his sister's husband Sooraj.
The High Court has postponed the hearing of the petition filed by Dileep demanding the court to bar the media from reporting the case proceedings until the completion of the trial.
Probe official asked to appear before court
Meanwhile, the trial court, hearing the actress sexual assault case, has asked deputy superintendent of police Baiju Paulose to appear before it on Tuesday. The officer has been asked to appear before the court after it was alleged that he divulged certain information pertaining to the case to others. It has been alleged that Baiju Paulose had leaked the copy of the application to question the court employees to the media.
Sai Shankar accuses Crime Branch of threatening him
Cyber expert Sai Shankar has approached the High Court alleging that the Crime Branch officials were threatening him in the conspiracy case. He made the allegation in his petition seeking anticipatory bail in financial fraud cases. He also submitted an audio clip of SP Mohanachandran Nair's phone conversation along with the petition.
Sai Shankar still in hiding
Sai Shankar, the seventh accused in the case, could not be traced. It was Sai Shankar who removed information from Dileep's phone after receiving the actor's instructions. Sai was added to the list of accused last day following the discovery of his involvement in the crime. He went into hiding after being granted anticipatory bail by the high court.
