KANNUR: The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has said in a congratulatory message to the party congress that it wants broader ties with the CPM to enhance bilateral relations between India and China. It also hoped that the Party Congress would enable the CPM to make a significant contribution to India's economic development and social progress.

"The closeness between the CPM and the Chinese Communist Party has led to increased friendship and trust between the two countries and the people."

"It seeks extensive relations with the CPM to enhance cooperation and communication between the two countries on issues of common interest, both local and international. The message said that further discussions between the two communist parties were necessary on issues of common interest to improve bilateral relations.

Thirty-seven socialist and communist movements, including the Cuban Communist Party, the Korean Workers' Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam, greeted the party congress.
