KOCHI: Congress leader K V Thomas said that he will attend the seminar as part of the CPM party congress after violating party directive. He added that he will not join any other party and that his end would be as a Congressman.

Thomas said the seminar is of national importance and that is why permission was sought to attend it. He said they had asserted to expel him from the party in the name of it. Rahul Gandhi and others had attended CPM meetings earlier.

Why are they so hostile in me attending the seminar? Will attend the seminar and say what has to be said. Thomas said that he was a disciplined man in Congress. He also asked is the threat of expelling him from the party is correct.

Thomas said only the AICC has the power to expel him. He also asked if it was his fault for not even understanding it. Thomas said that he had not met Rahul Gandhi since 2018.

He started the press meet saying announcing an important decision in his political career. KPCC president K Sudhakaran had asked him yesterday not to attend the seminar.
