THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran said K V Thomas was not threatened and that party discipline is applicable to everyone. He said this while responding to K V Thomas' decision to attend the national seminar of CPM party congress. If he attends the seminar, action will be recommended against him. The issue will be informed to AICC leadership. It was a natural reaction to say that he would be expelled from the party. He said that he would convene a press meet on the issue and respond in detail. Sudhakaran had yesterday asked Thomas not to attend the seminar. Opposition leader V D Satheesan said the KPCC would take a decision on the disciplinary action against Thomas. Rajmohan Unnithan also came down heavily on Thomas.

K V Thomas announced at the press meet this morning that he would attend the seminar as part of the party congress. He added that he would not join any other party and that his end would be as a Congressman. Why are they annoyed in attending the seminar? Will attend the seminar and say what has to be said. Thomas said that he was a disciplined man in Congress. He also asked that is the threat of expelling him from the party is correct.

Thomas said only the AICC has the power to expel him. He also asked if it was his fault for not even understanding it. Thomas said that he had not met Rahul Gandhi since 2018. He started the press meet saying announcing an important decision in his political career.
