THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre has allotted 20,000 kiloliters of kerosene to Kerala. Union Minister of State for Petroleum Rameshwar Theli has sanctioned more kerosene as per the request of State Food Minister G R Anil for an increase in the kerosene quota for Kerala.
But the price will not be less than Rs 81 per litre. With the availability of additional kerosene, the state will be able to provide its usual share. The ministry has also spoken to the oil companies and directed them to take steps to pay in advance a portion of the kerosene allotted last year.
