THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President MG Suresh Kumar and General secretary B Harikumar of 'Officers Association', a pro government organisation in KSEB has alleged that the management's decision to suspend the association President was out dislike for suspending their illicit moves.
The association had opposed KSEB's management move to buy 1,200 e-vehicles and ERP software from Tata, citing technical and financial reasons. Following this, the plan to buy 1200 cars was reduced to 65. The purchase of ERP Soft did not take place either. A new Tata Harrier car worth over Rs 20 lakh bought in the Chairman's driver's house has also raised suspicion. The association also intervened to stop the purchase of 20,000 fault pass detectors made at the KSEB unit for Rs 1.65 lakh. The price of the Iowa device made at KSEB is Rs 17500. They also accused the chairman of threatening to deny even promotion if they participated in the nationwide trade union strike.
However, the management denied the allegations of the association and called them as baseless.
