NEW DELHI: The state leadership will decide on what action should be taken against senior congress leader K V Thomas, said AICC general secretary K C Venugopal. Let the directive of KPCC come, the leadership will then decide what has to be done, he said.

‘People who kill when someone leaves the party preach about democracy. In fact, it is a great paradox. Let them discuss the case of K V Thomas along with G Sudhakaran’s case. Why G Sudhakaran is not attending the party congress? Let them discuss that too,' said Venugopal.

The AICC had directed Thomas not to attend the seminar as part of CPM party congress. KPCC chief K Sudhakaran had warned that Thomas should attend the seminar only if he is willing to go out of the party. However, Thomas is firm in his stand of attending the programme. Thomas had clarified yesterday that he will not be joining any other party.
