THRISSUR: Thrissur Pooram, which lost its lustre in recent years due to Covid restrictions, will be back to its full glory this year. Central agency PESA has given permission for the Pooram fireworks. In the last two years, the public was not allowed in Pooram ground due to Covid. This significantly hampered the Pooram experience.
The district administration had given its permission to conduct Pooram without curbs. This year's Pooram is on May 10. The sample fireworks will be on May 8. Pooram fireworks will be held on the early hours of May 11. With the approval from the authorities, the Devaswoms are preparing to conduct Pooram with the same grandeur as before.
