ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan national assembly session adjourned due to opposition uproar, has resumed. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi addressed the gathering, which began at 2.30 pm Pakistan time. Pakistan media reported that the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be put to a vote by 8 pm after the Iftar dinner unless there are other dramatic scenes or obstacles. It is learned that the ministers participating in the discussion are trying to prevent the no-confidence motion from being voted on by talking as long as possible. Imran Khan asked Shah Muhammad Qureshi to speak for three hours. Speaker Azad Khaiser reportedly allowed it.

The ruling party demanded that the no-confidence motion discuss foreign conspiracies against the government. The meeting was adjourned earlier due to opposition uproar. The opposition parties discussed how to face if the no-confidence motion debate prolongs in the chamber of opposition leader Shahabaz Sharif. Both sides have decided not to interrupt the speeches of the ruling and opposition parties. Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif said that the Prime Minister would be ousted by the opposition today. Presently there are 199 members in the opposition and 142 in the ruling party along with Imran Khan.
