THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several Congress leaders have come up lashing out at KV Thomas for attending the CPM party congress by defying the instruction of the Congress leadership. One faction is demanding that Thomas should be expelled from the party.
Congress leader K Muraleedharan said the party would take action against Thomas. Muraleedharan added that KV Thomas was the one who praised Pinarayi and he should not have done this.
Ramesh Chennithala has also come out with a scathing critique of KV Thomas. Chennithala said that Thomas' position was unfortunate. He pointed out that it could not be accepted for any reason and hoped that the party would take appropriate action. Chennithala alleged that Thomas had questioned the self-esteem of party workers.
KV Thomas participated in the CPM party congress in violation of the ban imposed by the Congress leadership.
